About the hole in the wall
The Hole in the Wall is a beautifully preserved 15th-century Grade II listed public house, with a mid-17th century extension to its west gable end.
Its distinctive name originates from a literal hole in the wall, where weary farmers once collected their ales at the end of a long day. Though that historic feature has long since been closed, our commitment to hearty food and well-poured drinks remains - now served with warm hospitality and brought directly to your table.
The Hole in the Wall is a fantastic gastropub! Terrific food - thank you chefs. Nice cozy feel and top-notch service, thank you Siddarth & Nikita.
It's perfect for Sunday roast, or just a chill dinner! Definitely worth making the effort to stop over if you're near Cambridge.
Had a lovely dinner here, very relaxed dining experience, the menu is quite varied and features delicious dishes inspired from all over the world. Lovely flavours and hearty warming dishes.
We will be returning.
